    • Outdoor classroom gazebo with bench seating
    • New playground equipment with a nature theme
    • New entryway with increased parking and permeable pavers utilized for parking spaces
    • Rain garden to capture and control runoff from the parking lot and pump track
    • Public restrooms
    • An ADA-accessible trail connecting the parking lot to the outdoor classroom
    • Formalized walking and biking trails running throughout the property, with 2 bridge crossings over Little Sewickley Creek and observation decks and benches at various points along the trails
    • Electricity and wi-fi access

If you want more information regarding the improvements, visit the Acorn Park page of our website.  The improvements will only enhance our park system for residents and visitors to enjoy.

ANOTHER SUCCESSFUL

GOLF OUTING!

On Monday, July 29, 2024, Franklin Park held its 21st Annual Community Scholarship Golf Outing. We ended up with a beautiful day, the rain held off until the end!  Thank you to all who donated and made this year’s drive a huge success! We owe a big thank you to our Event, Lunch, Diamond, Gold, Silver, Patron and Tee Sign sponsors for the support they provide to the scholarship program.  Most importantly we extend our sincere appreciation to the golfers for their participation in our golf outing. Golfers enjoyed a continental breakfast, lunch, putting contest, prizes at many holes,  a two year lease on a 2024 Hyundai Santa Fe (retail value $25,000) prize on the hole in one contest courtesy of Wright Automotive Group, 50/50 raffle, and auction with a chance to win numerous door prizes.  All proceeds benefit the  Franklin Park Community Scholarship Fund.
