PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE
AND NOTICE OF INTENT TO ENACT
TAKE NOTICE that at its regular meeting to be held on Wednesday, July 17, 2024 at 8:00 p.m. prevailing local time, at the Franklin Park Municipal Building, 2344 West Ingomar Road, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania 15237, the Borough Council of the Borough of Franklin Park will hold a public hearing on and thereafter consider the adoption of, and if appropriate enact, Ordinance No. 684-2024 entitled:
AN ORDINANCE OF THE BOROUGH OF FRANKLIN PARK, ALLEGHENY COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA,
AMENDING CHAPTER 184 OF THE CODE OF THE BOROUGH OF FRANKLIN PARK, “SUBDIVISION
AND LAND DEVELOPMENT,” TO ADOPT REGULATIONS FOR THE PRESERVATION OF EXISTING
TREE VEGETATION AND WOODED AREAS.
The Solicitor prepared this summary: This proposed Ordinance creates Section 184-916 on “Trees and wooded areas” to regulate existing tree vegetation on new plans 10 acres or more by protecting trees of significance, preserving certain wooded areas, addressing tree replacement and mitigation, and establishing maintenance requirements.
A copy of the full text of the proposed Ordinance may be examined by any citizen at the Franklin Park Municipal Building, at the newspaper publishing this legal notice, and at the office of the Allegheny County Council Chief Clerk, Allegheny County Courthouse, Pittsburgh, PA, during regular business hours.
