BOROUGH OF FRANKLIN PARK

PUBLIC NOTICE


TAKE NOTICE that the Borough Council of the Borough of Franklin Park, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, at a regular meeting to be held Wednesday, May 17, 2023, at 8:00 p.m. prevailing local time, at the Franklin Park Municipal Building, 2344 West Ingomar Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15237, intends to consider the following proposed ordinances:

Ordinance No. 676-2023, repealing and restating Chapter 19 in the Code of the Borough of Franklin Park, “Claims, Municipal,” adopting a schedule of attorney fees in connection with the collection of taxes, tax claims, tax liens, municipal claims, and municipal liens pursuant to Act 1 of 1996 and Act 20 of 2003, adopting a schedule of charges, expenses and fees pursuant to the Municipal Claims and Tax Liens Law, and repealing any other ordinances inconsistent herewith.  The Solicitor drafted the ordinance’s title which sets forth all the provisions in reasonable detail. 

Ordinance No. 677-2023, authorizing the condemnation by eminent domain to acquire the property identified as Block and Lot Number  822-F-00319-0000-00; authorizing the title to be acquired to be in fee simple; authorizing the Borough Solicitor and Borough Officers to take actions as are necessary to implement the ordinance; authorizing the institution of such proceedings and any damages which may be awarded to the owner of said premises to be paid out of funds of the Borough; repeal all prior inconsistent ordinances; declare the provisions to be severable; and set an effective date.

A copy of the full text of the proposed Ordinances may be examined by any citizen on the Borough website; at the Franklin Park Municipal Building; at the newspaper publishing this legal notice; and at the office of the Allegheny County Council Chief Clerk and the Allegheny County Law Library, during regular business hours.
