BOROUGH OF FRANKLIN PARK

NOTICE


TAKE NOTICE that the Borough Council of the Borough of Franklin Park, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, at a regular meeting to be held February 15, 2023, at 8:00 p.m. prevailing local time, at the Franklin Park Municipal Building, 2344 West Ingomar Road, intends to consider enactment of the following proposed ordinances:  (1) Ordinance No. 674-2023, amending Chapter 159, “Property Maintenance,” in the Code of the Borough of Franklin Park, to adopt the 2018 Edition of the International Property Maintenance Code, regulating and governing the conditions and maintenance of all property, buildings and structures; by providing the standards for supplied utilities and facilities and other physical things and conditions essential to ensure that structures are safe, sanitary and fit for occupation and use; and the condemnation of buildings and structures unfit for human occupancy and use, and the demolition of such existing structures in the Borough of Franklin Park; providing for the issuance of permits and collection of fees therefore; repealing all ordinances and parts of the ordinances in conflict therewith; and establishing severability and effective date provisions; and (2) Ordinance No. 675-2023, amending Chapter 122, “Fire Prevention,” in the Code of the Borough of Franklin Park, to adopt the 2018 Edition of the International Fire Code; providing for the issuance of permits and collection of fees therefor; creating a new Article III entitled “Fireworks” in accordance with Act 74 of 2022; repealing all other ordinances and parts of the ordinances in conflict therewith; and establishing severability and effective date provisions.  

A copy of the full text of the proposed Ordinances may be examined by any citizen at the Franklin Park Municipal Building; at the newspaper publishing this legal notice; and at the office of the Allegheny County Council Chief Clerk and the Allegheny County Law Library, during regular business hours.
