Bicentennial Celebration
THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO HELP MAKE OUR BICENTENNIAL CELEBRATION AT SUCCESS!!
We presented a year-long-series of events to celebrate the first 200 years of Franklin Park Borough that included recognition of its history and history makers, its military veterans, live entertainment and activities for youngsters and the not-so-young. Net proceeds benefited the preservation of historic places within our borough. Below are the events that were held in celebration of our 200th Anniversary.

OUR HISTORY - 200 YEARS
The Beginning: In August 1823, Franklin Township was created after seceding from Ohio Township. Franklin Township included what are today Franklin Park, Bradford Woods and Marshall Township. Forty years later, Marshall Township was created from Franklin with Bradford Woods seceding from Marshall in 1915. Franklin would remain a second class township until August 1961 when it became the Borough of Franklin Park. Now see where our history takes us!
An exhibit was held depicting the history of Franklin Park Borough. The event was held on Saturday, June 24th at the Blueberry Hill Park Activity Center during the Festival in the Park's Bicentennial Celebration.
